MAD Gallery is located in the Riverside Cultural District of Louisiana.
The Louisiana Cultural Districts Program was created by Act 298 of the 2007 Regular Session of the legislature. The primary goal of this initiative is to spark community revitalization based on cultural activity though tax incentives.
Impact – Supporting the Louisiana Arts
Every dollar in state support for the Arts leverages $7 in earned and contributed revenue. Louisiana’s cultural enterprises provide nearly 144,000 jobs for Louisiana citizens, accounting for 7.6% of total employment. Arts has a total economic impact of $934 million in Louisiana.
River Market 2013
The Downtown RiverMarket is back just in time for Spring. The market will kick-off April 6th with “Lawn and Garden Month”, and be open every Saturday from 10AM – 4PM till July 6th. Join us for local artisans, workshops, entertainment, produce, activities, and gifts. River Market will then close through the rest of July and August, before re-opening September 7th and running until December 14th.
